• Welcoming & Vibrant – The OTMS Community

We discovered Old Town Music School five years ago, when our son was just three years old, hoping to find a place where he could explore his early love of music—and we couldn’t have found a better fit than this neighborhood gem.
After a thoughtful evaluation, he was paired with Ms. Ronit, an extraordinarily talented, patient, and encouraging teacher. She makes every lesson engaging and fun while continually inspiring our son to challenge himself.

Over the years, we’ve watched not only his musical abilities flourish, but also his confidence. His lessons—and the practice that accompanies them—have taught him the invaluable lesson that hard work pays off. He genuinely looks forward to his lesson each week, and the lovely, formal recitals throughout the year are a highlight for the whole family.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of the happy, talented, and supportive OTMS community.

  • A Warm & Dedicated Teacher

Our three children have taken piano lessons with Miss Inna at Old Town Music Studio for two years. Julie understood what we were looking for in an instructor, and Miss Inna has been a wonderful fit for our family.

She connects wonderfully with our teenage son, our middle son, and our youngest daughter, adapting her approach to each child’s age, personality, and learning style. She is warm and playful, but also knows when to be firm, hold them accountable, and encourage their best effort. We have watched all three grow in skill, confidence, discipline, and appreciation for music.

Julie’s attentiveness and Miss Inna’s warmth & dedication have made piano lessons a positive and lasting part of our children’s lives. We are grateful for them!

  • A Joyful and Creative World

When we enrolled our son, and later our daughter, in piano lessons, our hope was simply that they would always have music to enjoy as adults—a hobby they could carry with them throughout their lives. What they’ve gained has been so much more. Along the way, piano has taught them discipline, perseverance, and the confidence that comes from seeing steady progress.

Miss Ronit has been an incredible mentor for our son over the past four years. She knows exactly when to challenge him, when to encourage him, and when to make learning fun. She’s helped nurture not only his musical abilities, but also his confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of music.

Miss Rachelle has made our daughter’s first year of piano such a joyful experience. Her patience, creativity, and playful approach have made learning exciting while building our daughter’s confidence from the very beginning.

Old Town Music School has created a warm, supportive community where children are encouraged to grow and celebrate their progress. The recitals are always a highlight for our family, and we’re grateful to be part of a school that has given our children so much more than music lessons.

  • We Couldn’t be happier with OTMS!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Old Town Music School. From the very first lesson, our daughter has felt encouraged, supported, and genuinely excited to learn.

Miss Rachelle has an incredible gift for making lessons both engaging and challenging in all the right ways. We have been so happy that we signed our younger daughter up for lessons, as well.

The growth we’ve seen goes beyond learning to play the piano. Our girls have developed confidence and pride in their accomplishments and love demonstrating their songs.

OTMS places a heavy focus on performance- both in smaller student-only groups and twice a year, as a big recital. Along with the actual performance song, they teach the students proper performance etiquette and I love this. What a life skill!

    I recommend OTMS without hesitation.

  • An Engaging Teacher & Our Musical Home

Mr. Mark is an excellent piano teacher who has been teaching my (two) boys for the past five years. They have flourished under his tutelage with challenging yet enjoyable lessons and musical pieces.

Mr. Mark goes beyond the technical side of things and engages my boys in musical theory while enabling them to explore various genres – from classical to improvisational jazz. He is encouraging and patient who has helped shape the boys as confident and talented pianists.

We are so glad to have found a musical home at the Old Town Music School. Thank you Mr. Mark and Miss Julie for creating such a welcoming, happy, and nurturing place for young musicians!

  • A Real Gift to Our Family!

My son started with Julie just after he turned four and my goal was to develop music as a language skill, build his coordination, and develop his musicality.

At his first recital, Julie spoke to the parents about the pride in preparation and the confident performance each child had just demonstrated in front of a room of adults, and I teared up. That was the real gift that Julie and Old Town Music School taught my son.

  • Patience, Kindness & Fun

Old Town Music School has given our daughter a real enjoyment of music and playing piano. Her teacher is wonderful and encourages practice and precision but is also very patient and kind and makes lessons fun!

We also enjoy the recitals at OTMS. They are a wonderful opportunity for students to show what they have learned and also build confidence in presenting and performing in a formal setting.

We would highly recommend OTMS to any family looking for a great place for their child to learn and grow through music.
